The Heather Pick Spirit Fund was launched by John F. Wolfe, Chairman & Publisher of the Dispatch on October 18, 2007 at the inaugural Spirit Celebration benefiting the Columbus Cancer Clinic. The fund recognizes and honors Heather Pick who was a loving wife, mother, friend, and anchor at WBNS 10TV. Heather was an inspirational figure to all who are engaged in the fight against cancer. Her personal fight started in 1999 and she became a partner with the Columbus Cancer Clinic in 2006 to support the needs of others. In 2006 Heather helped create a partnership between the Columbus Cancer Clinic and Key to the Cure, hosted by SAKS Fifth Avenue Columbus. In 2007 she launched the Spirit Celebration with Heather Pick. Both of these events and the Heather Pick Spirit Fund will continue to build awareness and provide financial support for the essential services provided by the Columbus Cancer Clinic.
